In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast of the United States and caused billions of dollars of damage. With over 200,000 homes destroyed in New Orleans, the city saw much destruction as a result of the hurricane. Three years later, damage remains, with people continuing to help with the reconstruction of the city.
