As soon as the Super Bowl was finished the medley of songs preformed by The Who was released for the Rock Band music store download, titled “The Who Super Bowl S-Mashup.”

The price tag is $1.99 for Sony PlayStation 3 or 160 Microsoft points in the case of the Xbox 360 and $2 for the Nintendo Wii.

This set joined other famous Who songs already in the Rock Band music library such as “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Pinball Wizard,” “Amazing Journey,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Behind Blue Eyes,” “Eminence Front,” “Going Mobile,” “Leaving Here,” “Magic Bus,” “My Generation,” “Real Good Looking Boy,” “Sea and Sand,” “Summertime Blues,” “Who Are You” and “Young Man Blues.” The recording was released immediately after the Super Bowl to Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii computer entertainment systems, but owners of the Sony PlayStation 3 will have to wait just a bit longer to get a Who fix.

When asked what inspired this transition of The Who’s halftime show to Rock Band, Stephanie Myers, publicist for Harmonix music systems said, “We’re just big fans of The Who, we have included a nice chunk of their songs as downloadable content and were happy to be able to bring this legendary performance to Rock Band DLC as well.”
