With the year and holiday season fastly approaching you may realize that you’re still looking for some last minute gift ideas. Luckily the entertainment industry had more then enough great releases to provide you with a number of options.

Although some of these products might not be for everyone, overall they have received a number of honors. There are a number of big titles, but the following movie, game and album that stands above  the rest.

Movie – “(500) Days of Summer” – Although this indie movie had a limited release, those who saw it can’t imagine why.  The story revolves around Tom Hansen (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) reliving his memories of the past year with Summer Finn (played by Zooey Deschanel). This romantic comedy brings out the truth in relationships and makes viewers think about the line between love and obsession.

Featuring one of the best soundtracks of the year, the use of music in the movie alone requires a watch. While this is a story of boy meets girl know ahead of time that this is not a love story. “(500) Days of Summer” will be released on DVD Dec. 22.

Video Game – “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” – With the biggest release in the industry’s history, “Modern Warfare 2” has planted itself on  a number of best of lists this year. Set in the near future, players are taxed with preventing an all-out nuclear war between the U.S. and Russia. Featuring three completely different types of experiences on one disc, players are getting two games for the price of one.

This game is a first-person-shooter, which means it’s not for everyone (rated M for mature). With more than three point seven million first day sales and over two million people playing simultaneously online, clearly this game has something going for it. “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” is now available on Playstation 3, PC and Xbox 360

Album – KiD CuDi’s “Man On the Moon: The End Of The Day” successfully brings the album mind set to the hip-hop world, and does so with a real bang. The album encompasses every emotion imaginable, and is presented in the absolute lyrical insanity that flows from CuDi over catchy and instantly classic beats.

Making such a complete album and keeping listeners on the edge of their seats is a rarity for a hip-hop artist these days.
